- If the client is under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs at the time of treatment.

- If the client is threatening, aggressive or violent, or in any way poses a risk to the therapist.

Here are the common questions that are asked:

What are some benefits of a massage?

Each session is unique and customized to your needs. I will listen to your concerns and may ask for feedback to address what I find to allow the nervous system to regulate in a safe space where one feels heard.

What type of massage do you offer?

Every session is adapted and customized. I can and many times do incorporate various modalities to achieve your healing goal which will always be discussed.

Do you provide a massage to anyone?

The short answer is YES! Each person is different, and I will address and adjust for those situations.

(not limited to these examples)

- Those who need to relax and relieve the stress stored in their bodies.

- Those who are struggling so much under the weight of life stressors that it is impacting your body, health, relationships, and daily life.

- Those who are living with the physical/emotional effects of trauma.

I’m unable to work with you if you’re:

- Injured from sports, a bad fall, or a car accident — depending on the severity, consider seeing an injury rehabilitation massage therapist. I can refer you out.

- buzzed — massage can amplify the effects of alcohol.

Do you also provide massages for children?

Yes, I do work with minor’s (under 18). My insurance does require that an adult be present for the duration of the session.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, all major credit cards payments via Vagaro and Zelle.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not bill insurance. However, depending on your circumstances, HSA and FSA accounts can be used. Approval/denial is solely your responsibility. Full payment is required at the time of service.

NO EXCEPTIONS.

What do I wear for my massage session?

I will ask you to undress you to your level of comfort. Many prefer to keep underwear on during a session, while others prefer to be nude. You will always be covered with a sheet during the session. The only area that is uncovered, is the area that is being worked on. You can remain completely dressed. I can work over clothing while doing any manual therapy, eliminating any anxiety of being undressed.

Do I have to talk?

No, I am always happy to chat, but this is your time to unplug. I generally won’t initiate a conversation during a session. If you feel more comfortable talking, great! I will follow your lead.

Should a massage hurt?

No. There are some techniques that aren’t the most comfortable. If you feel yourself clenching or unable to breathe fully, it’s a sign that your body is telling you the pressure is too much. I will periodically check in with you, but it is important to let me know. Positive or negative feedback is always welcomed especially during a session. This helps me assess and make needed adjustments. “Pain no gain” is not how I create a safe space for healing. Most bodies do not like pain. Let’s have a conversation about this idea!

What products do you use for your sessions?

I use jojoba lotion for therapeutic massage and cupping sessions. I do work with various Essential Oils. Those allergies MUST be disclosed. I also have CBD (no THC) that can be applied to an area. I will not use CBD without your consent.

Inappropriate Behavior

NO EXCEPTIONS!

Should a client ask for any sexual conversation and/or touch, I WILL end the session and you will be asked to dress and leave. A police report will be filed and you will be blocked from my schedule.

PAYMENT IN FULL IS STILL REQUIRED.

What is your cell phone policy?

To have the best experience and relaxation, please refrain from using your phone while in session. I ask if you could turn it off or place it on vibrate.
